Conference Tournament Watch

ACC Tournament – March 10-13
Tournament Schedule/Bracket
#1 Seed: UNC already is the regular season champs, now if they can follow it up with a ACC Tournament Title they could just earn themselves a #1 seed in the Big Dance.
Team To Watch For: I think this goes without saying, coming off a loss to UNC you can bet Coach K will have his guys motivated and ready to go with revenge in their minds.
Bubble Team: Virginia Tech is (19-10) and face GTech Thursday and FSU in the next round. They’ll need to make it to 20 wins to even be considered by the committee.

Big East Tournament – March 8-12
Tournament Schedule
#1 Seed: Out of all the conference tournaments Pitt has to be the most uncomfortable #1 seed of them all. They have a 1st and 2nd round bye, but as crazy as it has been this year in the Big East there are no cupcake games, even for a one seed.
Team To Watch For: St Johns has been magical all year at the Garden, knocking off five ranked opponents at home this season. Can they continue
Bubble Team: Can Marquette (18-13) be that 11th team that the Big East gets into the NCAA Tournament? I say they’re in, but in order to ease both their minds and the committees they should at least beat Providence on Tuesday and West Virginia Wednesday to guarantee their ticket.

Pac 10 Tournament – March 9-12
Tournament Bracket/Schedule
#1 Seed: Arizona is in a unique situation, they are the lowest ranked conference tournament #1 seed…which means come selection Sunday they could be looking at a low seed.
Team To Watch For: USC is making late case to be included in the tournament discussion. Even though I think it’s a little too late, if they can make it past the first round and then beat Arizona on Thursday they will be making things quite interesting.
Bubble Teams: I really think that Pac 10 will get three teams into the tournament so I think Washington (20-10) is in, but should they lose to Washington State Thursday and have the Cougs go deep into the tournament they could get their ticket stolen.

Big Ten Tournament – March 10-13
Tournament Bracket/Schedule
#1 Seed: Win, lose, or draw Ohio State is a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Case closed.
Team To Watch For: Illinois (19-12) has been underachieving all season. They’re tied at 9-9 in conference with both Penn State and Michigan…and will face Michigan in the first game of the tournament on Friday. I think they’re going to show people they are the team that was picked to finish 2nd in the Big Ten in the preseason.
Bubble Watch: In order for Michigan State (17-13) to make it to the tournament they’re going to have to make it to deep, deep, deep in the tournament. I’m talking about championship game deep and even then their ticket is not guaranteed.

Big 12 Tournament – March 9-12
Tournament Schedule
#1 Seed: Just like Ohio State Kansas will be a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament no matter what happens here, but don’t think that will change the Jayhawks
Team To Watch For: No team in America has had a more dramatic turn around this season than KState. After losing 4 of 6 in January, the Wildcats have won 9 of their last 10 and beat the top two teams in the conference in the process.
Bubble Watch: Colorado (19-12) has some nice wins over Texas and Mizzou, but they also have some really bad loses to the likes of Iowa State. But if they can make it to 21 wins on the season by beating Iowa State on Wednesday, and KState Thursday, it’ll be hard to leave them out of the Big Dance.

SEC Tournament – March 10-13
Tournament Bracket
#1 Seed: Nobody expected Florida to win the SEC so handedly and I doubt many outside of Gainsville has them picked to win the NCAA tournament much less the conference tournament, but I’m telling yall watch out for the Gators because they’ve got all the pieces to be a contender.
Team To Watch For: Which Kentucky team is going to show up, the one that was a perfect 8-0 in the SEC at home or the one that went 2-7 on the road. I say the home team.
Bubble Team: Alabama (20-10), faces Auburn or Georgia on Friday, then could face Kentucky.
