Even More Big 12 Schools Talking About Leaving

It is officially time to put the Big 12 back on death watch. With rumors running ramped that Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Texas are looking to take their talents elsewhere… the other schools that make up the Big 12 are now looking elsewhere as well. A report from the New York Post today claimed multiple sources have told them that if the Big 12 were to fall apart… the Big East would move to add Kansas, Kansas State and Missouri.

That would mean the Big East would grow to 12 football schools and a whooping 20 in basketball, creating four five-team divisions in basketball and two divisions in football.

The Big East is TV contract expires on November 1, 2012 and the conference is looking to sign a similar deal to one the $4 billion one the Pac 12 signed earlier this year… and the only way to do that is up the number of schools in their conference. Greedy bastards. Nobody wants to see a 20 team basketball conference… that’s just ridiculous.
