GTFO: Colorado Coach Dan Hawkins

Damn. They said they were going to keep Dan until the end of the season, which was true if the end of the season was today. Colorado has finally decided to fire football head coach Dan Hawkins after leading the school to four straight losing seasons, a 19-39 overall record and a 10-27 mark in the Big 12, and five straight losses this season. But hey on the bright side at least Hawkins will go down as one of the worst DI hires of all-time and the first coach in Colorado’s 121 years of existence to be fired during the season.
But the last straw, the 52-45 loss to Kansas on Saturday where the team blew a 28 point lead in the final 12 minutes. How…well Dan was passing the ball instead of running it so his son Cody, who just so happens to be the teams starting QB, could break some school records. But hey at least Dan will get to step onto the field one more time on November 20th for senior day (that won’t be awkward). Anybody want to bet ex-Texas Tech coach Mike Leach’s name will come up as a possible replacement?
