UPDATE1: Now they’re having a full blown Twittership! Wayne tweeted this morning: DC was beautiful. Kongrats to @skydigg4,my wife. Now bring it home baby. Skylar’s reply: “Haha thanks Wayne! My teammates said “is he gonna make a song about us now?” Lol.

Lil Wayne and America have a new favorite college basketball player and her name is Skylar Diggins. The Notre Dame All-American has been trending on Twitter for the past 24+ hours and it’s not just because she led Notre Dame to the upset win over UConn.

Lil Wayne sent her this tweet before the game: “Good lukk to my wife Skylar Diggins and the Fighting Irish.” to which she replied “@LilTunechi Haha thanks Wayne! Mmmuah to my husband”. And the rest was a wrap. She finished with 28 points and led her team to an epic win over UConn, but all anybody can talk about is how fine she is.
