(5) Michigan State 85 – (4) Maryland 83: If you didn’t watch this one you missed out on an Instant Classic. Down 7 with under 2 minutes to go Greivis Vasquez not only leads Maryland all the back they take the lead with under 7 seconds to go. And then well I’m sure you’ve heard and seen what happens to Maryland next…buzzer beater.

(12) Cornell 87 – (4) Wisconsin 69: There’s like 2 all white teams still in the tournament, Northern Iowa and Cornell (Cornell is the better of the 2). Still Wisconsin should have won this one and they would have had it not been for this kid Tim Jarmusz, who only contributed 1 foul in 17 minutes in the loss. On a team full of losers, he’s the biggest one.

(6) Xaiver 71 – (3) Pitt 68: I don’t know what is up with these seniors sucking so hard in the tournament. First there was Scottie Reynolds on Villanova, then Sherron Collins on Kansas, and now Jamie Dixon on Pitt. He goes 1-9 for 2 points after averaging 10 all season, talk about a let down.

(4) Purdue – (5) Texas A&M: Sure Purdue is a 4 seed and A&M a 5 so technically it’s not an upset. But after losing Hummel and scoring 11 in a half against Minnesota in blowout loss their last game in the tournament, I doubt many people had them going to the Sweet16…that makes it an upset in my book.
