Jeremiah Masoli Going Back To School

Despite what you might have heard Jeremiah Masoli won’t be entering the supplemental draft, a la the BYU RB that was kicked out of school for having sex. NFL.com reported last month that Masoli was expected to enter, but the deadline was July 5th and there was Masoli on the list…which means that he will be transferring to some college out there.

The rumor is that he’ll end up at Louisiana Tech, whose campus he was allegedly spotted just last week (sorry Mississippi State fans the rumor that he was visiting your school was false). Louisiana Tech would be good for him though…they’ve got a new coach in Mike Leach protege Sonny Dykes, who is looking to put in a new spread offense with no spread QB.

Enter Masoli…who is one of the best QB’s in the nation at running the spread. Too bad fans will have to wait a year until Masoli can suit up because of the transfer rule. He can apply for a graduate student waiver so he won’t have to sit out a year, but i doubt he’ll get it.
