Refs And The Sweet 16

Before the NCAA Tournament starts tomorrow John Adams, NCAA supervisor of officials, is out trying to do some damage control. In an interview with the AP he says that “I would tell you I’m very pleased [with the refing in the tournament] so far. We always strive to get all of them right in every game, and we’ll keep trying to do that… We’ve had 52 games, and I think we’re really only talking about plays in two or three of the games.”
It’s just too bad for him it’s not the buzzer beaters, not all the great games…the thing that everyone is going to remember about this tournament is those two or three blown calls. Or according to him one because the only call Adams will admit refs got wrong was the backcourt violation called on Syracuse in game versus Marquette on Sunday. But right or wrong, I just hope the NCAA gets some goo refs out there for the rest of the tournament games so their can stop being so many “controversial” calls.
