Alabama head coach Nick Saban and current Florida head coach Will Muschamp used to be boys. You see Muschamp was a defensive assistant under Saban at both LSU and with the Miami Dolphins, but while in Miami their relationship went south faster than a deported Mexican… and now we might now finally know the reason. According to the Palm Beach Post Muschamp’s father called Saban a “son of a biatch” after Saban was had been a dick to his mother.

Is there any show on TV that is better than To Catch A Predator? That sht is hilarious! Well finally college football has their own version. Last Friday the sheriffs department in Opelika, Alabama conducted Operation Iron Snare…

Where they sent a letter to people who were not paying their child support, informing them that they had “won” tickets to this year’s Alabama-Auburn game… and then when they came to collect their tickets, they were arrested. And trust me it was hilarious.

There have been some great speeches throughout the history of college sports… Knute Rockne ‘Win one for the Gipper’, Tim Tebow’s ‘Promise’, the list goes on and on. And now we’ve got another speech to add to the list… this one here from Nick Saban, which was surprisingly given to a bunch of kids aged 8-14, and their parents at his football camp. [via]

Alabama might be picked to win the SEC this year, but right now they’re hurting bad at the running back position. Sure they’ve got junior Trent Richardson as their feature back… but behind him there’s a big question mark.

In May, running back Demetrius Goode decided to transfer to North Alabama.  Two weeks later, running back Corey Grantdecided left to go to rival Auburn. Then a month later  five-star 2011 recruit Dee Hart suffered a torn ACL. And now the only backup the Tide has left has suffered an injury that could keep him out part of the season.

Some new details have come to light since we last posted on the T-Town Menswear stores owner Tom Albetar’s relationship with Alabama football players.

• Alabama put out a press release yesterday again stating that it had found no violations of NCAA rules in its own investigation into Albetar relationship with players.
• The school released a letter that it sent to Albetar on March 31st of this year telling him that he was being disassociated from the program for three years.
• Nick Saban and several players, including former Tide QB Greg McElroy, said in interviews that Albetar never paid them for their signatures.

So there’s your update… make of it what you will.

This T-Town Menswear/Alabama Football Violation thing just won’t die.

The outkickthecoverage.com has compiled a bevy of pictures of T-Town Menswear Tom Albetar posing with various Alabama players in his store, him on the sideline at Alabama football games, and the multiple Alabama players jerseys and other signed memorabilia on display in the store (including a Trent Richardson’s BCS game jersey)….

All in an effort to prove that Albetar is an Alabama booster that was providing free suits to Alabama football players in exchange for memorabilia, which he later sold. Which if true would be a major NCAA violation and along the same lines as the Ohio State players who received free tattoo’s in exchange for memorabilia.

Alabama says it has already done an internal investigation into whether or not the owner of Alabama based T-Town Menswear Tom Albetar was providing ‘Bama football players with free or discounted suits and found no wrongdoing… but that’s not stopping the internet from running with the story.

Sites have raided T-Town Menswear’s Facebook page and turned of photos (like the one above) showing Albetar posing with Alabama players in his store, them signing autographs of memorabilia… memorabilia which he had one sale on his site up until yesterday, but it along with his Facebook Page have now vanished. But the investigation continues…
