Cheating? How Baylor’s Landing Top Recruits

Some will say the St. Johns has made the biggest splash as far as recruiting goes this Fall, landing six to 100 recruits from the class of 2011. But me, I’m more impressed with Baylor…I mean how are they getting all these good ass recruits to go to Waco? No longer are the Bears just getting Texas guys that the Longhorns or Aggies didn’t want. No, they’re getting some of the best players from cities around the nation.

Case in point Quincy Miller the #2 power forward and the #9 small forward Deuce Bello in the class of 2011 here, who they signed not too long ago and are featured in the video. And these two are just a couple of  the of five top 100 players Baylor’s gotten commitments from recently. So just how are the Bears doing it…well they’re kind of cheating.

Week 9 Hot College Football Teams

Adrianna Lima Hot – Auburn Tigers: 8-0 with 3 wins against teams in the top 25, there’s no team hotter than Tigers. LSU’s defense came in ranked 3rd in the nation in total defense and 6th against the run…and Aubrun ran over them for 441 yards and three TDs. But this is nothing new, LSU was the 4th straight SEC team that they rushed for over 300 yards against.

Demi Lovato Hot – Baylor Bears:
Baylor not became bowl-eligible for the first time since 1995 in their 47-42 win over Kansas State, they did it in style…setting a school record for total offense (683 yards), with 404 of those coming from QB Robert Griffin III. But before we crown them Big 12 South champs, realize they’re got the toughest part of theirs schedule ahead of them UT, OSU, Texas A&M, and OU. So why they’re hot right now, they’ve still got some growing up to do before they become super hot.

Candice Swanepoel Hot - Missouri Tigers: Last week people were complaining about how Missouri hadn’t played anybody. That they didn’t deserve to be ranked 11th in the initial BCS poll. And then much like how Candice Swanepoel came on the scene this year basically replacing Heidi Klum as the newest Victoria’s Secret Angel, they went and shocked #1 Oklahoma 36-27. But the victory will be short lived because next week Nebraska comes knocking on the Tigers door.

Dunk Highlights: Quincy Miller + Duece Bello

I’m no recruiting guru, but the class that the Baylor basketball program has coming in 2011 is something special. So special in fact that I’m already crowning them as a having the number one recruiting class of 2011. I don’t care who Kentucky or Duke has coming in, none of their recruits can match the athleticism of the duo of Quincy Miller and Deuce Bello. Those dudes are like a walking holyshit highlight waiting to happen and they just so happened to both commit to Baylor yesterday. Now watch and be amazed.

Baylor Men’s Basketball Under Investigation

WTF! FoxSports is actually breaking a news story?!! Am I in the Twilight Zone or something? I must be because according to them the NCAA is currently investigating the Baylor men’s basketball program for alleged violations committed this summer during the recruitment of 6’8 forward Hanner Perea (ranked 10th in the class of 2012).

The report goes on to finger Baylor assistant coach Mark Morefield as the culprit, saying he sent dozens of texts to Perea’s AAU and high school coaches in July, which if true is against NCAA rules. And to make matters even worst, Morefield was on suspension at the time for a previous texting infractions and was supposed to be recruiting. The NCAA will be in Waco later this month to investigate. (sniff, sniff) I smell a resignation coming.

Baylor Football Players Caught Passed Out With Weed In Taco Bell Drive Thru

I mean the title says it all so I’m going to let the paper take it from here. Waco Police Sgt. Melvin Roseborough says officers were called just after 2 a.m. Sunday to a Taco Bell near the Baylor campus. They say they found a man passed out in the driver’s  seat of a car in the drive-thru lane and upon searching the vehicle they found marijuana. The two men passed out…Baylor sophomore WR’s Willie Jefferson and Josh Gordon.

First off…passed out in the drive thru lane, now that’s being f-cked up! I would’ve been to excited to get my hands on a crunch wrap supreme to pass out in a Taco Bell drive-thru, I don’t care how drunk or high I was. And secondly…whoever called the cops on them is an asshole. I mean how easy would it have been for them to just go up to the car, tap on the window and wake them up. I bet it was some old white person that called the cops.

UPDATED: The Unbelievable Reason Why LaceDarius Dunn Broke His Girlfriends Jaw

UPDATE: Now this is why people are innocent until proven guilty. According to the father of the girlfriend who has spoken her it was all an accident. “She said she sneaked up on him in the dark and he hit her by mistake. It wasn’t a fight at all. She doesn’t want to press charges or anything like that. She’s torn up now that he’s been arrested.”

Sounds like one of those, “I fell down the stairs lines” wives give the cops when they don’t want their husband to go to jail. Snuck up on him in the dark and he broke her face…I’d be more inclined to believe that Miley Cyrus was still a virgin than believe that BS.

The Best College Football Team In Texas Part II

So yesterday I started this conversation about who was the best college football team in Texas, but I realized about half way through the post I’d bitten off more than I could chew and that this one would be best served if it was broken in two. So yesterday I left DQ’ing Texas State, UTEP, Southern Methodist, Rice, and Houston from the discussion on the best in Texas…leaving us with the Texas Big 12 schools and TCU.

So lets begin with Texas Tech, who has one loss on the year to UT 24-14. And in that game Texas couldn’t have played much worst, turning the ball over four times…UT was so bad that if Tech was half as good as Longhorns they would have beaten them by 21.

Sorry Tech you are not the one. Baylor meanwhile is 3-1, but their loss came to TCU and it was a Rodney King type beating…the halftime score was 35-3. So we can cross the Bears off the list as well. So now it’s down to three: Texas, Texas A&M and TCU….
