Fun Facts: The BCS Makes A Killing

College football conferences will get a record take of about $170 million from this year’s bowl games…with the six AQ conferences getting $145 million for sending nine teams to BCS bowl games this year, while the five Non-AQ conferences received a new high of $24.7 million for their lone BCS entrant TCU. But who cares how much the BCS shelled out, what I want to know..what we need to know..is how much they made.

2010 Holyshit Highlights: James vs Newton

Nothing gets you pumped for a big game like some music and this joint right here is hands down the sickest fan music video of all time and it still might not be better than their OG “I Love My Ducks“, but that was so 2 years ago. Anyways this game is going to bananas.

Oregon has the top offense in the nation averaging 538 yards (304 rushing/234 passing) and 49 points and Auburn is top five in most offensive categories averaging 498 yards (287 rusing/210 passing) and 43 points. Shits going to be real son!

Auburn vs Oregon Tickets Will Cost You A Car

Damn I wish I went to school at either Oregon or Auburn. Then I’d probably have a big ass trash bag full of weed, a new glass on glass bong, and a bottle of Jameson…and still have enough money left over to buy a round trip ticket to Vegas so I could throw go throw some $1 bills at strippers from having sold my National Championship game tickets online. Just how much are tickets going for right now? You’re not going to believe this.

The Best One Loss Team In Football

Currently there is six teams that are undefeated in college football…three of them are in the Big Ten, two from the WAC, and one from the Pac 10. Well the BCS has spoken and they think it’s Stanford. The Cardinals…who are ranked 4th in this weeks BCS Poll behind Auburn (1) Oregon (2) and TCU (3)…beat out all three of the Big Ten co-champs by just over a tenth of a point.

And speaking of the Big Ten, it looks as though Wisconsin will come out on top with them coming in at number five in this weeks polls…which most likely earn them a spot in this years Rose Bowl against TCU. Meanwhile Ohio State, ranked sixth, will play Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl…while with only two schools per conference allowed to recieve automatic bids to BCS Bowls, it looks as though eighth ranked Michigan State will be the school that is SOL.

What if College Basketball Had Bowl Games

There is no denying that college basketballs NCAA tournament is the best postseason tournament in all of sports. Nothing compares to it. It is in one word perfect. Even with the tournament adding two play in games to this year it only adds to the excitement…as we put it, the NCAA Basketball tournament is like boobs, the bigger the better.

Still when I saw this story out came the Curious George in me…what if college basketball had BCS Bowl games? Find out who would be playing who below.

Team TCU or Team Boise State

Just like in the Highlander movies…I feel like telling both TCU and Boise State, “there can be only one” in my best Duncan MacLeod voice. Because the way things are looking right now it looks as though only one non automatic qualifier school will be making it to a BCS Bowl, leaving the other shit out of luck and it stinks.

The problem for both TCU and Boise State is that the BCS is only obligated to take one non-AQ school. So whatever the scenario…regardless of if TCU and Boise State finish undefeated or if both Auburn and Oregon lose, only one will make it to a BCS Bowl.

Find out why below…
