Texas A&M’s Path To The SEC

Texas A&M has made their decision, they want out of the Big 12 and the SEC is their destination of choice. So now let the speculation begin as to what would happen if the Aggies were to in fact leave the Big 12 for the SEC.

And we’ll surely give you all the scenarios in bit… but first lets talk about what we know is going to happen for sure. The SEC presidents are scheduled to have a secret meeting on Sunday to vote on extending an invite to Texas A&M. Then onMonday the Texas A&M board of regents will meet to discuss “athletic conference realignment”. And on Tuesday, the Higher Education Committee of the Texas state House of Representatives is scheduled to meet to discuss the situation.

Texas A&M To The SEC

Texas A&M is done with all their crying and threatening to move to the SEC…. and now they’re looking like they might actually do it. And kicking off all the Texas A&M to the SEC rumors was none other than  Texas governor Rick Perry who told the The Dallas Morning News that “as far as I know, conversations (between A&M and the SEC) are being had“.

Then A&M president R. Bowen Loftin all but confirmed the rumors by saying via a university press release that he was “committed to doing what is best for Texas A&M not only now, but also in the future“. Hmmmm. Which led Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe to say he’s taking reports of A&M-SEC talks “very seriously.”

So as you see a whole lot of people are talking and they’re all saying the same thing… Texas A&M is on their way to the SEC. Yeah it’s going to be a long weekend.

Arrest Details: Texas Safety Ruffs Up Repo Woman

Yesterday we brought you news that Texas safety Christian Scott had been arrested on an assault charge and suspended from the team, but had no details on the arrest. Well we’re here this morning to bring you those juicy little details.

As it turns out the reason Scott was arrested was because his 2000 Cadillac was being reposed for falling behind on his payments when he forcibly removed the repo lady from his car, threw her onto the ground and then fled in his car… only to be arrested at a gas station by police shortly there after.

More details of the arrest below…

Police Report: Sadly we don’t have too much info on the arrest… just that linebacker Kyle Mangan here was one of three people arrested early Sunday morning for fighting in the Northgate bar district near campus. But seeing that Kyle is 6’2 230, my guess is that he won.

What the coach had to say about his arrest below…

Texas A&M Recruit Shot And Killed

Get your Kleenex box ready. Former Texas A&M recruit DJ Jones was all set to go Prairie View A&M this Fall after he backed out of his commitment to the Aggies, but he will never experience any of the joys of college because yesterday evening he was shot and killed in an apparent car jacking.

A friend that was with Jones at the time of the shooting says “[Jones] was supposed to go to Durant, Oklahoma to meet somebody and this car pulled up behind us and they had guns. He told me to roll up the window and my sunroof was open and they hit me in the head and they shot him.” Cold blooded!

Texas A&M Scores A Victory Against The Longhorn Network

Who you says crying doesn’t get you anywhere in this world. After few days Texas A&M went crying to the NCAA claiming that Texas would be violating NCAA rules if they were to air high school games on the Longhorn Network… the Big 12 turns around and announces that it is banning all Big 12 schools from broadcasting any high school content of any kind on university-branded media platforms.

Texas A&M wins… this round, but the battle is far from over.
