Cal Releases Will Lyles Recruiting Package

Oregon paid Will Lyles $25,000 for ’2011 National Package’, which contained no 2011 recruits. LSU gave him $6000 for a California and Kansas JUCO package, which contained outdated information. And now we finally have the details of what was in the ’2010 National National Package’ that Will Lyles provided Cal Berkley for $5000… and you guessed it, it also contained some suspect tapes and info.

Cal Baseball Is Here To Stay

I must admit I angry when Cal Berkley announced they were using the $13 million dollars fans donated to savecalbaseball.com to instead save men’s rugby, women’s lacrosse and women’s gymnastics because I felt people had been tricked into saving lame sports.

Well after two months of fundraising, Cal Baseball is officially here to stay. The school was presented with a check of $9 million by former Golden Bears pitcher Stu Gordon last week, which is enough money to keep Cal baseball going until 2021. Woo-hoo!

Cal Wins Another Swim & Dive Championship

The Cal Berkley Women won the swimming & diving national championship last weekend and this weekend it was the mens turn. Saturday, his team did its part to maintain it, as Cal won its first NCAA men’s swimming and diving title in 31 years. The Bears staved off a late charge by 2010 champ Texas and completed the three-day meet with 493 points. Texas claimed second with 470.5; Stanford was third with 403.

Cal Baseball Death Rap

You already know my feelings about what is going down with the Cal baseball team…the officials at Berkley are a bunch of assholes for axing the team in favor of rugby, gymnastics and lacrosse…but it’s nice to see the team is taking the shafting in stride. They even made this little music video about there impending doom.
