Alabama head coach Nick Saban and current Florida head coach Will Muschamp used to be boys. You see Muschamp was a defensive assistant under Saban at both LSU and with the Miami Dolphins, but while in Miami their relationship went south faster than a deported Mexican… and now we might now finally know the reason. According to the Palm Beach Post Muschamp’s father called Saban a “son of a biatch” after Saban was had been a dick to his mother.

Police Report: Hawaii has suspended two starters for their opening game versus Colorado, outside linebacker Aaron Brown and wide receiver Darius Bright, for their invovlement in brawl at a Waikiki bar called Zanzabar Nightclub in the early hours of Sunday morning… both players were arrested on charges of misdemeanor assault and released after posting bond later that day.

Just to prove that you really can vote on everything in Vegas, here goes the odds that Miami will receive the “death penalty”. I’m betting they won’t, but the public has spoken and according to the dudes over at Bodog Sportsbook have the odds at -130 for ‘yes’ that the Hurricanes will receive the ‘death penalty’ and a ‘no’ wager is -110.

But that’s not all. They’re also taking bets on whether Al Golden will be coaching the Hurricanes next season, how many years of probation they will receive, and the number of players that will be suspended… and we’ve got those odds for you below.

With all the drama going on at Oregon and LSU right now… we figured we’d lighten the mood a bit and premier these two new ESPN GameDay commercials hyping their September 3rd game at Cowboys Stadium.

The LSU vs Oregon is becoming less and less exciting by the day. Oregon’s star CB Cliff Harris is suspended for the game for all those speeding tickets, yesterday it was announced that LSU WR Russel Shepard was suspended for violating an NCAA rule by talking to one his teammates about an ongoing investigation.

And now today LSU has suspended starting quarterback Jordan Jefferson and linebacker Josh Johns after they were arrested and charged today with second degree battery for last weeks bar brawl. Sheesh!

What Les Miles had to say about the arrest below…

Depending who you listen to right now Miami has ruled anywhere from 8-13 football players ineligible (the Miami Herland says 8… the AP says 13). But the most important thing is that word is “starting” QB Jacory Harris is one of those few.

And all those ineligible are so because for accepting gifts from Shapiro valued at over $100… but the good news is that history has shown us that a player who receives benefits lower than $100 will be asked to pay it back in the form of a donation to a charity and then reinstated immediately.
