I know you’ve already seen the all red uniforms that Nike made especially for UGA to wear for their September 3rd game versus Boise State, but I bet you haven’t seen these babies, the UGA Nike Trainer 1.3 Max… one of three shoes part of the College Football Rivalry Pack, which will also feature custom Nike Trainers for Oregon and Boise State. Must be nice.

Just when you think you USC is in the clear, something drags them back into the NCAA’s doghouse. And the worst part is this latest USC potential violation doesn’t even involve a current Trojan… it centers on linebacker Jarvis Jones, who transferred from SoCal to UGA this offseason.
What started out as an investigation into whether an AAU coach had paid for Jones to fly from Atlanta to LA and back… has turned up additional extra benefits.

Now this is fcked up. Ex-Georgia football coach Jim Donnan is accused of making more than $14 million on a Ponzi Scheme while cheating other head coaches like Barry Switzer (Cowboys), Frank Beamer (VTech), Dennis Franchione (Texas Tech) and Tommy Tuberville (Texas Tech)… who invested in the company out of millions. Riding a scooter home from a bar on the late night one of the most fun/terrifying experiences that you can have in college… and odds are you’re not going to make it to bed without some scares. Just as UGA football player Derrick Lott, who was injured when he ran his scooter into the side of a building early yesterday morning.
Now the report says he was not impaired in anyway, but we all know better. Lott meanwhile will be out 4-6 weeks with a laceration to his right leg. Damn he must have hit that building hard. [via]

A couple of years ago all the players were sporting the eye black with little messages on them, but since those have been deep sixed by the NCAA the youngsters have moved onto a way better way to display some swag… getting logos drawn in their hair. Swag! Here goes Alabama commit Kenyan Drake repping The Tide and below Georgia commitment Quayvon Hicks showing his support for UGA in similar fashion.
I wonder who’s going to the first white guy to go Vanilla Ice and get something in their hair?

Ohio State wasn’t the ones that had NCAA today… on the same day that we saw OSU respond to their accusations, the NCAA also handing down double dose blows to both the West Virginia and Georgia football program.
The Moutaineers have accepted the NCAA’s punishment of two years probation, a 23% reduction of football activities, and the loss coaches they shouldn’t have anyways… after WVU was found to have committed major violations involving failure to monitor by former coaches Rich Rodriguez and Bill Stewart and the university for having too many coaches and practicing too many hours. But hey on the bright side at least they got a great new in Dana Holgorsen and fans can drink at the game.
