There is drinking and driving and then there’s drinking while drinking…Jimmy Burge, the backup defensive tackle on the Missori football team, was arrested late Saturday night for the latter. That’s right he was caught drinking a cold one on the way to a party.
In his defense, he was only tipsy not drunk. After police hauled him to jail for making an illegal turn and reeking of alcohol, he actually blew under the BAC limit of .08 percent. So all’s he ended up getting was two citations for the illegal turn and for drinking intoxicants while operating a vehicle. Can’t say he’s going to get off as easy with the coach though, this is the teams third alcohol related arrest of the year and I can bet you he’s fed up with it.
