UPDATE:  A report says “it was mutually decided Masoli would not join the Warriors”.

Now here is a rumor that makes some sense. According to KHON-TV in Honolulu Jeremiah Masoli is interested in playing out his last year of eligibility at Hawaii. UH hasn’t made no comment on the matter, but they should be jumping for joy at the thought of landing him….the QB they have right now, sophomore Bryant Moniz, sucks! He almost threw as many interceptions as he did TD’s and isn’t half the QB Masoli is.

But if you’re a Hawaii fan don’t get your hopes up too high…Louisiana Tech, the only school that Masoli is known to have visited since his dismissal from Oregon is sure to be still in the mix. The good news is we should get a descision about where Masoli will be transferring to coming up here shortly, probably before Fall Camp opens up.

Despite what you might have heard Jeremiah Masoli won’t be entering the supplemental draft, a la the BYU RB that was kicked out of school for having sex. NFL.com reported last month that Masoli was expected to enter, but the deadline was July 5th and there was Masoli on the list…which means that he will be transferring to some college out there.

This would be sick! Jeremiah Masoli to the Bulldogs. A report coming from KTBS, a TV station down south, says that Masoli is “looking at Mississippi State“. I’m not sure what that means, but I assume that it means both the football program and him have a mutual interest in each other. Man I hope he goes….it would be a match made in heaven.

Coach Dan Mullen, who was Urban Meyer’s assistant for years, is looking for someone to run the spread offense for the team. The same offense that Masoli ran to perfection at Oregon last season (2147 yards passing, 668 yards rushing, and 28 TD’s total), before getting the boot. And even better yet, the Bulldogs don’t have a foresure starting QB. Masoli is the closest thing to Tebow type player that Mullen will ever get.

Ed Imeokparia – Florida State S: This dumbass got arrested for grand theft cell phone after police found out he stole a 449.99 Motorola phone from a Planet Cellular Store in Panama City. He’s not a dumbass for stealing the phone, but he is one for not knowing police could track him once he activated it on his account. But grand theft cell phone, that’s got to be a first. And while we’re talking about cell phones, here is a preview of the soon to be released Motorola Droid X.

Jeremiah Masoli – Oregon QB: For some reason this dude has plead not guilty to three charges for possessing less than an ounce of marijuana, driving with a suspended license and failing to stop when entering a roadway. Even the Oregon coach Chip Kelly knows he’s guilty, that’s why he got kicked off the team…the police caught him red handed. The only chance Masoli has is if he has a twin brother somewhere willing to take the charge for him.

Damn, well this sucks. Jeremiah Masoli one of the sickest, most fun to watch college QB’s last year has been dismissed from the team…”effective immediately“. The reason: he was caught riding dirty on Monday and charged with possessing less than one ounce of marijuana, driving with a suspended license and failure to stop at a driveway or a sidewalk.

Damn! We’ll see where he ends up, but odds are it won’t be anywhere half as good as Oregon and probably at some D1-AA school or worst. RIP to his career and his NFL hopes…but on the bright side he can still be a star in the the UFL, CFL, or Arena League.

We all know Masoli is done for as far as next years football season is concerned and now we know why thanks to a 52-page description of the burglary investigation by Oregon Police that was released on Friday. The best pieces of news from the report:

• When Masoli first met with police he “reached out to shake our hands and stated something to the effect of; I was wondering when you guys were coming,”
• Masoli repeatedly denied any involvement in the burglary three separate times, telling the investigators and Coach Kelly that he had never even been to the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house.

And still after all this Masoli met with Coach Chip Kelly yesterday and will remain at Oregon. WHich probably means that Chip told him he would be welcomed back to team next year or we’d be talking about how Masoli was transferring right now. UPDATE: Chip Kelly suspends Jeremiah Masoli for the entire season says “Masoli will not play in 2010″, while James only gets suspended for the opening game of the season…WTF! So stealing from a frat without any weapons is just as bad as a DUI, but not as bad as strangling your girlfriend or getting into a fight on national TV after a game.

On the bright side: Masoli can redshirt next season and come back in 2011 or if Oregon makes it to a good Bowl game which takes place in 2011 maybe Chip will let him play.
