Police Report: Four different Marshall University students were robbed just a few blocks from campus at gunpoint at round 2:00 am Sunday within a span of about 10 minutes. And guess what police are saying it was none other than starting wide receiver Troy here… who was not only identified by the victims in a photo lineup as the attacker, but the police also have him on video.

Ray Lee, a top 150 recruit from Detroit, was arrested by Marshall University Police and charged with four counts of felony sexual assault Wednesday. Lee, who attends Huntington (W.V.) Prep, reportedly sexually assaulted a 17 year old Marshall University student, who he was visiting, in her dorm room on Monday… he now faces two charges each of sexual assault in the first degree and sexual assault in the second degree.

And as of today not only has Lee been kicked off his prep school team for the charges, but I doubt the schools that were recruiting (which included Marshall, Iowa, UCF, Baylor, Virginia, Louisville, Marquette and  USF) will be doing so once they hear about this. [via]

Charge: Domestic Battery

Arrest Report: It’s not often times a player gets kicked off the team before the trial, but Marshall DB Donald Brown has done just that for this appalling crime. Brown was arrested for allegedly hitting his baby momma in the face and head, while she was holding their 11-month daughter… and during the comotion he “inadvertently” hit his daughter in the face. Shame on him.

Name: Tron Martinez

Charges: Disorderly Conduct, Obstruction

Arrest Report: Depending on how bad this story is the Herd could be in the market for a new starting RB because their projected starter Tron Martinez was arrested on Friday and hit with two misdemeanor charges… details of the arrest have not been made available.

And it’s not like this was the first time this dude has found himself in cuffs either… back on April 17, 2009, Martinez was arrested and charged with 11 felonies, the worst of them being gang participation.

Name: Brian Robinson
Team: Marshall – Football
Charges: Domestic Battery, Carrying a Concealed Weapon

Arrest Report: Robinson was booked into the West Virginia Regional Jail Correctional Facility at 12:02 am Tuesday and was charged with two misdemeanors: domestic battery and carrying a concealed weapon. And the coldest thing is Robinson was dismissed from the team while he was still in jail…matter fact I think he still might be in there. Sucks!

I can’t help but feel bad for Willy Korn. He came out of high school with a four star rating and the 8th ranked QB in the class of 2007. He had a bright future, but then as soon as he stepped foot on the Clemson campus the road ahead started to get cloudy.

In 2007 he was a backup. In 2008 he was named the starter halfway through the season, but then injured his elbow and had to have offseason surgery. Then last year he lost his job to freshman Kyle Parker, who only led the Tigers to an ACC Championship. So realizing he had no shot at playing QB at Clemson earlier this year Korn transferred to Marshall, only to lose out on the starting job there and have the coach try to move him to safety.
