NFLPA Says Long Live Pimping
![]()
That dream was short lived. Last week I was real excited at the thought of the NCAA and NFL working together to possibly start punishing players in the NFL for violations they committed in college…well this week the NFLPA basically said “Fck No!” to that idea.
The statement released today: “The NFLPA is opposed to any penalty being imposed upon a player in the NFL for conduct relating to the receipt of benefits in violation of NCAA rules while the player was in college. However…”. And they go on to talk about how they’re still going to work with the NCAA to stop agents from pimping players and blah, blah, blah.
Bottom line is without the fear of being penalized in the NFL, college players are going to continue to accept cash, jewelry, hotels, cars, flights, houses, whatever. Just look at UNC’s Marvin Austin right now…does it look like he’s sorry for accepting extra benifits or worried about what’s going to happen to him. Hell no, he’s partying with Rick Ross.
