As if you needed another reason to attend the UNC vs Michigan State basketball game taking place on an aircraft carrier on November 4th later this year… the game will take place on the USS Carl Vinson, the same air craft carrier that buried the most wanted man in American history… one Mr. Osama Bin Laden.
It’s just too bad that us civilians folk won’t be able to purchase tickets for the game… of the 6,000 available seats 4000 will be go military personel, 500 to people connected to the school, and the other 500 to “specified people and have names on the front”. So good luck attending.

It’s been quite on the arrest front all week and then this morning BAM..six DI football get players arrested for some pretty serious crimes. The first was a group of four Auburn football players who thought it’d be a good idea to bust into a house near campus and rob five guys at gun point…the dumbasses were pulled over in their getaway car shortly after the robbery and were promptly arrested after police found a pistol and all the stolen stuff in the car. And yes all the players involved have already been kicked off the team.
The second group arrested was a duo of Michigan State football players who were arrested for eluding police after an incident in an Aspen bar.

As if things weren’t already bad for the Spartans, PG Korie Lucious has been kicked off the team. Officially Lucious was dismissed for the remainder of the season after a violation of team rules and for what Izzo said was “conduct detrimental to the program”.
Lucious himself released the following statement: “Unfortunately, I let my teammates, my coaches, and myself down, and wish them the best for the season“. But fans should have known something was up, for Lucious tweeted “Man did I really mess up this time … off 2 the gym I go!” just 30 minutes prior to the statement being released.
So now that you know what is being reported here’s what the students are saying.

Last year Michigan State let it slip that they might be playing UNC on an aircraft carieer…yeah that thing that airplanes land on. Well someone cue the Top Gun music because last night during his weekly radio show Roy Williams confirmed that the game will be going down on Veteran’s Day (11/11/11)…on an air craft carrier in San Diego.
How baller is that?!

I never heard it, but seven yeas ago then Michigan State AD Mark Hollis mentioned that he’d like to play a basketball game on a docked aircraft carrier. Yes, an aircraft carrier…one of those big ass boats that fighter jets take from. Well now it looks as though Hollis crazy dream might come true because yesterday in a text to the Lansing State Journal he stated that an announcement about the game “is forthcoming“.
But you can’t just have any old college basketball game on aircraft carrier…it has to be a big game. Which its rumored that Michigan State has recruited UNC to play on the carrier on Veterans Day of next year. Now that’s Kim Kardashian ass big, but is it even possible?

We already gave you a look at the SEC, ACC, and Big 12 conference championship races coming down the stretch…but somehow we totally forgot to mention the Big Ten race, which other than the ACC might be the most complicated one.
Right now it’s a four team race with Michigan State (5-1), Wisconsin (4-1), Iowa (4-1), and Ohio State (4-1) all with one loss heading into the last three weeks of the season. And hypothetically speaking there could be a three way tie for first place at the end of the season. Man I’ll be glad when they get a title game…all the scenarios below.
