With all the expansion talk the past few days we forgot to mention this little tidbit about the Pac 12 and Big 10 teaming up to drop a bomb on the BCS, saying that the two of them would like to see a plus-one playoff system… where the BCS’s top four ranked teams would play in a playoff (presumably the #1 ranked team versus #4 and #2 vs #3), with the winners then meeting in a championship game.

Sounds good to me.  And the best news is that the BCS TV contract expires in January of 2014 so if the other conferences where to get behind this, the change come in the next couple years.

Oregon paid Will Lyles $25,000 for ’2011 National Package’, which contained no 2011 recruits. LSU gave him $6000 for a California and Kansas JUCO package, which contained outdated information. And now we finally have the details of what was in the ’2010 National National Package’ that Will Lyles provided Cal Berkley for $5000… and you guessed it, it also contained some suspect tapes and info.

A couple of weeks ago there were some stories going around calling Arizona State linebacker Vontaze Burfict the meanest man in college football… and as if trying to prove to everyone that he is, word comes this week that Vontaze got into a fight with wide receiver Kevin Ozier after a practice last week.

Well I shouldn’t even call it a fight because as the story goes… Burfict threw a one hitter quitter and knocked Ozier the fck out Friday style. That boy Ozier is a bad man! [via]

UCLA basketball player Jerime Anderson was arrested and suspended from the team last week for jacking someone’s laptop and now sadly his mistake is affecting his partying. You see Anderson was all set to host the “I LOVE COLLEGE!!! ATHLETES PARTY” August 5th at The Proud Bird (a bar near Los Angeles International Airport) and now because of his arrest he’s had to cancel his appearance… I say sadly because as you can see from the promo video above it looked like the party was about to be poppin’. Here goes the first of I’m sure many custom Oregon uniforms that the football team will be breaking out this season… the rumor is they’ll be sporting this lovely ensemble for their big matchup against LSU at Cowboys Stadium on September 3rd.
