There was no indefinate suspension in this one. No second chance, just a get the f-ck out of here. Today not even a week after wideout Paul Richardson, cornerback Shaquille Richardson and linebacker Josh Shirley were arrested of suspicion of stealing a purse from one of UCLA’s dining halls Neuheisel gave all three player the boot.

As coach put it, “they will not be allowed to enroll in school this fall and will not have the opportunity to begin their UCLA academic and athletic careers.” Damn. But on the bright side they may be able to enroll in the spring if they meet certain requirements.

Here I was thinking that the trio of UCLA football players that got arrested and had their bail set at $20,000 were some serious criminals. Instead Joshua Shirley, Shaquille Richardson and Paul Richardson were all arrested for stealing a girls purse from her locker at some dining hall. Losers.

But damn. Felony theft just for stealing a purse, sounds a bit harsh. Then again it was at UCLA, which is in the middle of Hollywood so maybe the girl had one of those $10,000 plus designer purses.

Damn police killing three birds with one stone in this one. Three incoming UCLA freshmen football players Paul Richardson (WR – Gardena Serra), Shaquille Richardson (DB – Los Alamitos) and Josh Shirley (LB – Fontana Kaiser) were all arrested by UCLA campus police on Wednesday morning on suspension of felony theft.

We don’t know what they stole yet, but all three are 18 years old and attending summer school at UCLA. No word on if Coach Neuheisel will suspend them, but it is likely that he will. We should have an update on Monday.
