We all know Masoli is done for as far as next years football season is concerned and now we know why thanks to a 52-page description of the burglary investigation by Oregon Police that was released on Friday. The best pieces of news from the report:

• When Masoli first met with police he “reached out to shake our hands and stated something to the effect of; I was wondering when you guys were coming,”
• Masoli repeatedly denied any involvement in the burglary three separate times, telling the investigators and Coach Kelly that he had never even been to the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house.

And still after all this Masoli met with Coach Chip Kelly yesterday and will remain at Oregon. WHich probably means that Chip told him he would be welcomed back to team next year or we’d be talking about how Masoli was transferring right now. Finally some good news for the Oregon Ducks football team. The team found out late yesterday that star RB and last years Pac-10 Offensive Freshman of the Year, LaMichael James, will be allowed to participate in the Ducks’ spring practice. There was some people who were worried that because he choked his girlfriend out and wasn’t allowed to attend class for 3 weeks he could be ruled academically ineligible.

First Urban Meyer announced that he was resigning in December. Then he changed his mind in January and said that he was going to take an indefinite leave of absence from football, which left everyone wondering what exactly that meant. And now that the Gators Spring Practice has started we know that it all all the fuss was over nothing.

The biggest change is that happened was him hiring 4 more assistant coaches so he didn’t have to go out on the road and recruit. He started back working full time 2 weeks ago and during practice yesterday the only thing that was noticeably different was that Urban let some of his newly hired assistants run some of the drills he used to.
