Oregon paid Will Lyles $25,000 for ’2011 National Package’, which contained no 2011 recruits. LSU gave him $6000 for a California and Kansas JUCO package, which contained outdated information. And now we finally have the details of what was in the ’2010 National National Package’ that Will Lyles provided Cal Berkley for $5000… and you guessed it, it also contained some suspect tapes and info.

Will Lyles should be a household name in the college world by now… he is the football recruiter that appears to have been given $25,000 by Oregon to steer players there. And unsurprisingly it turns out Oregon wasn’t the only school that has paid Lyles for his “recruiting services”.

Baton Rouge newspaper The Advocate is reporting that LSU also paid Lyles $6,000 for something. Now we don’t want to jump to any conclusions here and say LSU was paying for players, but Lyles is the last man that you’d want associated with you school right about now given his history with Oregon. So we’ll save the judgements until after the details surrounding the payment are revealed, which I’m sure is being worked on by YahooSports right now.

Yesterday there were rumors were swirling around Will Lyles, the street agent/recruiter who is at the center of the Oregon NCAA investigation, once again and this time it had nothing to do with his shaddy dealing with the Ducks…this time the reports were about Lyles and his ties to 2011 LSU recruit Trevon Randle.

Over the weekend we learned that the NCAA had interviewed the recruit and his father on two separate occasions about Lyles on Wednesday and Thursday of last week. And that in an interview with FoxSports Randle admitted that Lyles was “pretty tight” with his family.

Now come today LSU is trying to put out the flames by “confirming” that they paid $6,000 to Complete Scouting Services, a college recruiting firm that employs Lyles. But my question is what about the other $20,000 that was reportedly paid to Lyles and his various scouting service companies…payments that the LSU Athletic Department Budgets and associate athletic director Herb Vincent already admitted to?
