UNLV Coach And Player Suspended Until 2012

If you thought that Masoli got a raw deal, just be glad that he doesn’t play in the SWLC. Yesterday the UNLV Men’s Lacrosse Team was dealt two long ass 2 year suspensions and placed on probation for the rest of this year by the Southwestern Lacrosse Conference (SWLC).
UNLV head coach Gary Campo and freshman middie Eric Jones were suspended until the end of the 2011 season as a result of Jones getting in two back-to-back fights in UNLV games last weekend.
Per the rules after being ejected from Friday’s game against Utah for fighting, Jones should have been suspended the mandatory one game. Instead Coach Campo let him play the next day against Arizona where he got ejected for you guessed it fighting.
After being told of the suspension Campo claims that “[he] just made a mistake and [he] didn’t know the rule”.
