Vols Facing A Mountain Of NCAA Violations

Today was the beginning of the end for Tennessee sports. According to ESPN Tennessee received its notice of allegations from the NCAA today, which listed out the many violations the men’s basketball, football and baseball teams have committed over the years.
The report won’t be released to the public until tomorrow, but already word has leaked that Bruce Pearl will be hit with an “unethical conduct” charge. But forget the basketball team. What we really all want to know is 1) what the NCAA has to say about Lane Kiffin and the football program 2) will the NCAA say there was a lack of institutional control in the Vols athletic department and 3) what the penalties/sanctions for the violations will be.
Sadly we won’t learn what the sanctions are for the Tennessee sports programs until after Tennessee has a chance to defend themselves in court on Jun 10-11. But if it is announced that the NCAA has ruled there was a lack of institutional control at Tennessee, Vol fans might as well start preparing themselves for sanctions worst than the ones the USC football received…so we’re talking about post season bans and big reductions in scholarships.
And I would be shocked if Bruce Pearl, isn’t fired this summer if found guilty of unethical conduct charges…which according to those in the know is one of the most serious charges the NCAA can make against an individual.
