Yeardley Love Trial Finally Starting

Yeardley Love. You remember that name? On March 3rd it will have been one year to the day since Virginia lacrosse player Yeardley Love was brutally murdered in her own apartment by her ex-boyfriend George Huguely, who was also a UVa lacrosse player.

Remember now? Well after months and months of Huguely’s lawyers pushing the trial back, I am happy to tell you that proceedings have finally gotten underway. Yesterday after nine hours of testimony, a judge decided there was enough probable cause for the case to move forward…now it’s in the juries hands on whether to indite Huguely on all six charges filed against him, which they are set to do by April 18th.

After they decide that, then the actual trial can begin. But thanks to the pre-trial hearing we already know what the defense is going to try and argue…that Huguely had no intention of killing Love and that Love’s death was a “tragedy but not an intentional criminal act.” LOL!

How they’re going to prove that when she died of trauma to the head after Huguely repeatedly slammed her head into the wall, I don’t know. That’s almost as crazy as Dr Conrad Murray’s lawyers trying to prove that Michael Jackson killed himself.

But for all the trial updates be sure to rune back in on the April 18th because we’ll be following this trial like thong on Kim Kardashian’s ass.
